Let it Shine!

 

Hello! Here is another card I made for the Altenew Educator certification. This one is for the Let it shine course. I have been meaning to use this stencil. I wondered if using the gold would be too much, but it is beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice! This one was easy to make. I love the technique of using sequins in a diagonal as well as placing them in triangle shapes!!

1. Die cut ink blended paper stitching (isn't it stunning?!)

2. Use gold glimmer and stencil. Let it dry

3. Die cut sentiment with shimmer cardstock and adhere

4. Add a layer of same shimmer cardstock behind to peak through

5. Adhere embellishment

Hello Crafty friends!! I am so excited to pass the level 1 classes and test with Altenew! I am now working through courses on the level II. I was inspired by the "In the Mood to Color Class". I thought about what I do in my everyday life, which is to support people struggling with mental health. I created a card thinking of that using the following colors: Blue: Tranquility Pink: Caring Yellow: Optimism  For this card I die cut the tulips and used Distress Inks to color the flower and leaves. Then I die cut the frilly frame and used the flowers to adorn the frame. I used a cover plate to create the background and there placed the die and flowers. Then I added the sentiment and some baubles. Beach Please

I thought about this one and how to make it different from all the really neat art I have seen others make with this floatie. I wanted to make it look like a glam flamingo with sequins. Hope you like it!     1. Die cut and colored the floatie      2. Color and die cut pool party pals     2.   My husband could not wrap his brain around this one. I love the charm of the oddballs! I had fun with this one and was happy that it came out much better than what I initially had in mind. I guess that's the beauty of creativity! One never knows the exact destination.  1. Use embossing powder to stamp background stamp. Colored with distress ink dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, and tumbled glass 2. Cut circle die use stencil and same distress inks from step one. Layer opaque paste on stencil 3.
