Color me Frida

I love the freedom of mixed media. Nothing needs to be perfect and you can let your creativity run wild. My husband asked me if this was a chicken coup 😆. I had to explain mixed media to him and he still has trouble getting it.  1. Stamp background stamp. 2. Color background with distress ink scattered straw, wilted violets, carved pumpkin 2. Color Frida with Copics 3. Use matte paste to stencil butterflies 4. Splatter white paint Materials:  Background Stamp ,  Oddball Frida ,  distress ink ,  ranger opaque matte paste ,  butterfly stencil ,  copic markers

  My husband could not wrap his brain around this one. I love the charm of the oddballs! I had fun with this one and was happy that it came out much better than what I initially had in mind. I guess that's the beauty of creativity! One never knows the exact destination.  1. Use embossing powder to stamp background stamp. Colored with distress ink dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, and tumbled glass 2. Cut circle die use stencil and same distress inks from step one. Layer opaque paste on stencil 3. Beach Please

I thought about this one and how to make it different from all the really neat art I have seen others make with this floatie. I wanted to make it look like a glam flamingo with sequins. Hope you like it!     1. Die cut and colored the floatie      2. Color and die cut pool party pals     2. Love you Still

I was inspired by the MFT color challenge. I was itching to use these creatures! They're so adorable. I'm really into slimline. They're so fun and easy to put together.  1. Made cloud background with spun sugar distress ink 2. Made grass background with  distress ink twisted citron  3. Colored creatures with copic markers 4. Barnyard Celebration

 I loved this stamp and die set and had to use it again. These animals are soooo cute.  1. I used clear embossing powder to stamp the background 2. Used distress ink twisted citron, tumbled glass, shaded lilac, squeezed lemonade, spun sugar, to color the background  3. Used star dies to cut out background that will show through 4. Used copics to color the barnyard animals 5. Hippo Rainy Day

Oh how I love these hippos! They're so cute!!! I had so much fun putting this together. I love the ease of using slimline cards. I loved the way the rain came out in the background and the pearlescent vellum. They ended up being neat little touches to project.  1. Colored the little hippos using Copic markers 2. Used round stitch die to cut pearlescent vellum 3. Used distress ink to color stencil and then use Gina K glitter gel over the stencil 4. Shaded borders with distress ink tumbled glass 5. Mother love

 I had my little one in mind when I created this one. There is so much to enjoy of them and they grow so   fast. They fill your heart and drive you nuts all at the same time.  1. Roarsome Cute Overload

 So I am so in love with Tracey Hey Stamps. They are adorable!! I want to use them over and over but don't want to bore my followers!! But I may not be able to resist! LOL 1. I used distress inks shaded lilac, squeezed lemonade and spiced marmalade as well as stencil to make background 2. I used background stamp with embossing powder 3. Die cut letter and used shaded lilac distress ink  4. I used glitter gel on bottom of letters 5.
